The holiday season is around the corner, and it’s the time of the year when families, friends, and couples come together and celebrate. So, we know you’ll be looking for films and shows to binge on. Be it with your partner, your parents, or just some close friends.
Well, the good news is I’m here with a list handpicked just for you. With shows and films for every mood, I’ve listed the best Netflix shows and movies you can watch this holiday season.
Don’t worry; I won’t delay because you’ll see there’s a lot to unpack here, so much that you can use this list beyond the holiday season.
It’s time for some movie-cation!
For all the cuddly couples out there, this is the perfect rom-com you need with a tub of ice cream. You can snuggle on the couch and watch this adorable tale of two girls who find love in a different country when they decide to go on a solo vacation in the holiday season.
There’s Jude Law, Jack Black, Kate Winslet, and Cameron Diaz. Do I even need to say more?

Remember when Freddie Highmore was just a ten-year-old kid who came from a poor family and won the golden ticket to go to Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory? Yup, that’s right. A wholesome family film that one never gets tired of watching. The film stars Johnny Depp, and if that doesn’t make you want to watch a film, I don’t know what will.

Christmas has indeed come early, and we’ve all been on the list of good kids. So Santa, in the form of Netflix, has got the best present we could’ve asked for. The final season of Money Heist is coming on December 3rd. By the looks of the trailer, there’s going to be a lot of people in red, and they won’t be saying “Ho Ho Ho!”
If, like me, you’re desperately waiting for the final season, hang in there. These days shall pass. However, if you haven’t watched it, I suggest you binge it all just in time to catch up with the final season.
It’d be hard to say Bella Ciao to this brilliantly beautiful show!

Here’s one for all the hopeless romantics out there trying to find love. A story of two identical-looking girls who live each others’ lives while trying to find love. While one is a princess, the other is a house help. What unfolds is a story of highs and lows that will keep you captivated.
For fans of Vanessa Hudgens, this would give you a few moments of nostalgia as it takes you back to her days in High School Musical.
Adapted from John Green’s book, this film is a teenage version of the anthology-like classic Love Actually. Tales of numerous strangers intertwine in the holiday season as we see the various facets of love and relationship unfold before us.
It’s a nice blend of rom-com and slice-of-life genres, and it will leave you warm and happy.

The show takes you to the streets of Paris so that you can witness the life of a social media manager who is shifted to a marketing firm in Paris. There’s drama, there’s comedy, and a whole lot of cheesy dialogue.
Now, I admit the first season was sort of a guilty pleasure for me, but I can’t wait for the second season premiering on 22nd December.
Here’s a small disclaimer though: the glamour is spellbinding and will desperately make you want to teleport to Paris. Beware!

If you’re that person who just does NOT love Christmas and other holiday traditions, I’ve got you covered, too. Two oddballs – one wants to know what it feels like to kill and the other is his runaway friend he plans to kill. That’s the premise of this oddly dark show. So brace yourself because this show will throw all sorts of absurdities at you, and here’s the best part, you’ll love them all!

Imagine Sleepless In Seattle meets You’ve Got Mail meets today’s online dating world. That’s Love Hard for you. Nina Dobrev in this cute avatar has all my heart and soul. Set against the backdrop of Christmas, this film’s that light-hearted rom-com you want to watch with your BFFs.

I am not a big believer in the Emmys, but this show deserved every single one it got. It is one of my all-time favorite sitcoms and it will truly warm your heart like nothing else. It’s funny, it’s feel-good, and the antics of all characters are adorable. It is perhaps one of the very few sit-coms that brings a refreshing twist to the genre.
Watch Link: Schitt’s Creek
This one with John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale just doesn’t get old. It is one one of those films where the protagonists end up running in search of each other to confess their love in the cheesiest way possible. Well, this is that film, and before you judge me, just watch this. You’ll hate how much you like it because it appeals to that hopeless romantic within you.
Watch Link: Serendipity
Well, these are the top 10 movies and shows on Netflix you can watch this holiday season. There are a whole lot more and I could do this all day, but I guess you want to pick the others on your own. Happy holidays and happy binge-ing!
