Poundland has announced a radical change of product line-up in order to keep selling everything for a pound.
“It’s either this or rename the shops ‘Tennerland’ and that doesn’t have the same ring to it”, explained a spokesman. “We had reduced the range to Christmas cracker toys but they cost £1.50 to make now, so we’re down to jars of dust from the stockroom floor – customers have supply their own jars – matches; we’re offering a special deal of 2 for £1 – and individual toilet sheets. Obviously we charge £2 to actually use the toilet.”
