There will no longer be any “Kimye.” A source close to the family who spoke to HollywoodLife confirmed that Kim Kardashian, 42, and Kanye West, 44, divorced on November 29, 2022.
When Kim filed for divorce from the “Stronger” rapper in February 2021, she did so due to “irreconcilable differences.” The former power couple had been married for more than six years, having tied the knot on May 24, 2014, after starting to date in April 2012. However, a few divorce-related issues remained open up until this point.
Kimye’s Divorce Terms and Conditions
Kim and Kanye will receive joint custody and “equal access” to their four children, sons Saint, 6, Psalm, 3, and daughters North, 9, and Chicago, 4. These details were revealed in the final agreement that HollywoodLife was able to obtain. Kim will also receive child support payments from Kanye of $200,000 per month.
Furthermore, he is liable for paying 50% of the tuition for their children’s education. In addition, he is responsible for half of the costs associated with the children’s safety. Kim and Kanye also agree to take part in mediation if there is a disagreement over the children, according to TMZ. In a dispute, if one of them abstains, the other automatically decides who wins. They both agreed to waive spousal support in the prenup, guiding them on dividing their assets.
According to the paperwork, the couple’s property and other assets will be divided per their prenuptial agreement.
Nine months after Kardashian was declared legally single during a bifurcation hearing, the divorce was finally finalized.
While West had previously contested Kardashian’s request to be recognized as lawfully single, he later stated that he had asked his team to expedite the dissolution of his marriage to Kim so that he could devote all of his time to their lovely children.
After almost seven years of marriage, Kardashian requested a divorce from West in February 2021, citing irreconcilable differences. In 2014, the couple wed in a lavish ceremony in Italy.
Additionally, the couple agreed to take part in mediation to resolve disagreements involving the kids. However, the decision in a dispute is permitted by the other party by default if either party does not participate.
Both parties agreed to split the cost of the children’s private school tuition, private security, and any mutually agreed upon tutoring. Kim will continue to maintain and pay for the children’s insurance policy, and the costs of uninsured medical and dental care will also be divided equally. The judgment further provided that either parent may participate in extracurricular activities, regardless of which parent’s parenting time the move falls on, and that any decision to enroll a child in a private or public school or to receive mental health services must be mutually agreed upon by the parties.
While Kanye will retain ownership of his musical instruments, artwork, and studio tools, Kim will remain the sole owner of her personal belongings, including clothing, furs, watches, handbags, and jewelry. Kim’s “interests” and “tangible and intangible assets” in her businesses, including various KKW branches and intellectual property, will remain hers. In addition, Kanye will keep his “personal effects,” audio and video gear, and his intellectual property, including recordings.
To rule out the possibility of living at Kanye’s Wyoming home, neither parent is permitted to move the children’s home more than 60 miles from their current Hidden Hills, Los Angeles location.
Regarding “special” occasions like birthdays, both parties have access to the kids and are free to celebrate together if they “should both choose.” It’s important to remember that although Kanye previously claimed he “wasn’t allowed,” he showed up for Chicago’s fourth birthday celebration in January.
TMZ Confirms Kimye’s Divorce
HollywoodLife reached out to Kim and Kanye’s representatives to confirm the news, which TMZ first reported, but we have yet to receive a response.
When she filed for divorce, Kim asked for joint physical and legal custody of the couple’s four children. According to TMZ, Kim and Kanye’s divorce was “amicable,” and neither star contested the prenup they had put in place. Kim did not specify a date of separation in the divorce papers.
Kim and Kanye sparked divorce rumors in the summer of 2020, which was difficult for the ex-couple. Kanye mentioned divorcing Kim in a series of tweets at the time, and Kim later responded by revealing that her husband was dealing with bipolar disorder.
Unfortunately, tensions between Kim and Kanye will only worsen when the rapper held a “presidential” rally in South Carolina on July 19, 2020. Kanye West claimed in a campaign speech that the couple discussed aborting their first child, daughter North. Months later, in October 2020, rumors circulated that the couple had been spending time apart after Kim began wearing her wedding ring without it. She and Kayne then separated for the holidays.

Beginning in 2022, a few months after Kim began dating Pete Davidson, there was a noticeable change in friendliness. Around that time, Kanye, who had a brief romance with Julia Fox, began to post his opinions about how Kim was raising their children, including his disapproval of their daughter North’s TikTok videos and his desire to reunite their family. In addition to criticizing Pete, he shared some of his text messages with Kim and urged followers to shout “Kimye” if they saw her on the street. He also called Kim his “favorite person in the world” in these texts.
