Celebrities seem to be ending relationships these days. Roughly a month after Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck part ways, Kristin Cavallari and Mark Estes have officially called their relationship quits after seven months of dating.

The reality star and fashion mogul shared the breakup news during a live chat with the “Call Her Daddy” host, Alex Cooper, at one of her Unwell tour stops in Austin, Texas.

Cavallari said the breakup is “so fresh, you guys,” hinting that the relationship had only recently come to an end and she is perhaps back in the market.

However, sources close to the couple explained that the relationship had simply run its course and was never meant to be permanent.

When Did The Couples Get Together?

In February, Cavallari went ‘Instagram official’ with the Montana Boyz member in a selfie of the pair under a beach cabana. She captioned the post, "He makes me happy" with a red heart emoji.

To the public eye, this was the beginning of the couple's relationship and for as long as it lasted, Kristin Cavallari and Mark Estes seemed serious, often posting photos and enjoying vacations together.

So What Went Wrong?

Despite their chemistry, the long-term goals of the couple never aligned which led to the breakup.

While Kristin had described the relationship as “fulfilling and exciting”, she made it clear in interviews that she wasn’t looking to get married or have more children and was rather interested in focusing on her life as a mother to her three kids from her previous marriage to Jay Cutler.

On the other hand, Estes had expressed an interest in marriage and starting a family. This may have contributed to the breakup.

With Cavallari being 37 years old and Estes, 24, age also played a part, considering that they are in different stages of their lives.

“Mark and I broke up," Cavallari said on her "Let's Be Honest" podcast. "It's hard because I broke up with Mark because I just know long-term it's not right, and it's not because of love lost or something bad happened.”

Cavallari added that, “I look back to when I was 24 and how much life has happened between then. Those are crucial years. Those are formative years. They're when you find yourself, and he needs to be able to do that.”

Key Takeaway

Despite their short-lived romance, Cavallari admitted that Estes was "the best boyfriend" she's ever had. She noted that "no one cheated" during their relationship, and Estes had always been "so sweet and so supportive," which made her decision even more difficult.

“I don't regret going public with him. I don't regret introducing him to my kids," she said. "I don't regret anything. It was such a good, happy relationship. And I think with every relationship you learn, and you grow, and I will forever look back at Mark and I with such fond memories and just pure happiness.”

Cavallari also said that, "He will make someone so happy one day... and he will have a beautiful family of his own. I know that one day he will look back and understand it and I actually think one day he will look back and thank me.”

With their relationship having come to an amicable end, their fans are left wondering what the future holds in store for the both of them as individuals and ex-partners.
