All hail the King!

England lost its Queen last year, and it has since been the beginning of a new era in its government. King Charles III will now be the first male monarch, and plans are in gear for a coronation ceremony.

However, an issue that has stirred controversy is the royal guest list.

Is Prince Harry & Megan Markle expected at the function, and will they attend?

The royal couple became infamous after the Queen instructed them to" step back" from all royal duties. Harry had revealed the discrimination in the royal family and how he had been left to choose between protecting his wife and preventing a repeat of the "princess Diana (Harry's mum)" situation or protecting his royal rights and inheritance. Much to the relief of many, Prince Harry had chosen the former and left the royal home to settle elsewhere and shield his heartthrob from the ugly events behind the scenes of the royal family.

Now that a coronation is near and scheduled to begin May 6 at Westminster Abbey. Many are curious about the attendance of the royal duo. Although a source revealed to "people magazine" that King Charles wants his son to attend the ceremony despite everything. He explained further that King hoped the situation would 'calm down' in time for his coronation.

Another source close to Prince Harry and Megan Markle revealed that the couple was yet to get an invite, and no signs of reconciliation were forthcoming. When Prince Harry was interviewed about the matter during his book release, he explained that their attendance depended on the royal family. If they attempt a conversation, there may be a reconciliation.

“There’s a lot that can happen between now and then. But, you know, the door is always open. The ball is in their court. There’s a lot to be discussed, and I hope that they are willing to sit down and talk about it,” he said.

The source who revealed to people magazine the King's intent further explained that the matter would remain a dent in King Charles's reign if not resolved. And with his previous reputation as a distant parent, things were not looking good if this continued.
