Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie is eager to put an end to her long-standing feud with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt over their French winery so that their family can begin to "heal."

Angelina, 49, filed for divorce from Brad, 60, after an incident on a plane in 2016. Since then, her children—Maddock, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16—have become estranged from their father.

Gradually, all his children who began with Pitt as their surname are changing it to Jolie instead, which is saddening to Brad.

The winery business has been a point of contention in their divorce proceedings since 2016.

The Maleficent star Angelina Jolie sold half of their shared winery, Château Miraval, for $67 million (£51 million) after verbal discussions fell through in October 2021 as part of the proceedings.

According to Brad, he offered to buy Angelina out of the business. But, the award-winning actor reportedly declined after the agreement involved signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which would have kept her silent on his ‘personal misconduct and abuse’, according to reports.

While the legal battle rages on, Angelina’s lawyer, Paul Murphy, made a new statement to People.

Jolie's lawyer, Paul Murphy, in a July 17 statement obtained by PEOPLE, claims Pitt, in his past offer to buy Jolie's stake in the winery, "Tried to punish and control Angelina by demanding a newly expanded NDA to cover his personal misconduct and abuse."

"We are not surprised that Mr. Pitt is afraid to turn over the documents showing these facts," Murphy added, saying, "Those actions are central to these proceedings."

While Angelina asked Mr. Pitt again to end their fight and finally put their family on a clear path toward healing, unless Mr. Pitt withdraws his lawsuit, Angelina has no other alternative than to obtain the evidence necessary to prove his allegations wrong.

Prior to her latest plea, Angelina’s legal team had requested that all third-party communications made by Brad after the 2016 plane crash be handed over, but it was termed as ‘intrusive’ and a ‘sensationalist fishing expedition’ by Brad’s team.

A recent court filing obtained in a publication by Brad’s lawyers claimed the formal request dealt with ‘sensitive issues’ such as the therapy he had to undergo after the plane ride to ‘better himself.’

Angelina was ordered to turn over eight years' worth of non-disclosure agreements relating to her winery dispute in May.

Paul said they were ‘more than happy to turn [the past NDA’s] over at the time.

He continued: "Common NDAs are simply not comparable to Brad's last-second demand to try and cover up his personal misconduct."

Paul believes the ruling will open doors to discovery on all issues related to Pitt’s abuse’ and he ‘welcomes transparency.

Although the outcome of the legal battle remains to be seen, one thing is certain; Angelina Jolie is eager to put an end to the fighting and move in a forward positive direction.
