The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, arrived late at the annual Invictus Games hosted by her husband, Prince Harry, which is very unusual of her.

Several words have been flying around about why the former actress couldn't arrive at the event on the same day as her husband. Fans naturally expect the couple to arrive together because the Invictus Games is one of Harry's most important events of the year.

However, the nurturing mother of two children has her reason for arriving late at the event, which is very understandable. She needs to take good care of her youngsters and ensure they are in safe hands before joining her husband.

Meghan Markle apologized to the crowd for arriving late to the event and gave her reason. She said, "Hi everyone, I'm so sorry that I'm a little bit late for this party, but it's so special to be here finally."

"...As you already know, this is all friends, family, and the community that the Invictus has created together with Fisher House. But I had to stay back and spend some more time with our little ones, helping them settle at home."

Getting three portions of milkshake and dropping off at school, I only landed a few hours ago, and I'm super thrilled to be here as this is the first event I get to do for Invictus, and being here together with all of you, Meghan said with a big smile plastered on her face.

After arriving late, Meghan gave a heart-melting reason. She also praised The Fisher House Foundation, which provides a home away from home for military and veterans whose loved ones are hospitalized.

She expressed her gratitude towards Fisher House for organizing a fantastic event. Recently, she had the opportunity to visit one of their houses in Los Angeles and was deeply touched by their efforts. They understand the importance of rehabilitation and the Invictus games in bringing everyone together as a family rather than as individuals.

The Invictus game was dedicated to military veterans who were disabled and lasted for one week. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have promised to attend the event as long as their schedules allow.

Meghan happily revealed that she had received gifts, one of which was a unique bracelet from a member of the Canadian team. The bracelet had the names of individuals who could not attend the event engraved on it. Meghan was touched by the gesture and mentioned that many people were cheering for her from afar, supporting her in spirit even though they couldn't be there in person.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry would also bond more with the Nigerian team. Harry said during his opening speech on Saturday that Meghan had decided to support the Nigerian team when she learned she was over 40% Nigerian after taking a genealogy test.
