Signs of Trouble
After another thirty minutes of walking, Josephine requested a break. As they sat down to eat an energy bar, Trevor, the scientist logging their route, approached Victor. "I don't want to start a panic, but it seems like we're walking in circles," Trevor said quietly. Victor, bewildered, examined Trevor's notes. "This can't be possible," he said. They compared their maps and logs, realizing the map was less helpful than anticipated.
