Gone are the days when technology could only be cooked up in the labs of global geniuses. Now, it’s all open source, and just about any Dick or Harry could create tech by following instructions. Well, realistically, not everyone one, but you get the drift.
So maybe this is what prompted two YouTubers Arun Maini and Matthew Perks to dream big. These guys decided to undertake a project that has continued to surprise people, as they thought outside of the box and made the world’s largest iPhone.
The Record-Breaking iPhone
When we say they created the world’s largest iPhone, we are not talking about a Pro Maximum or something. Rather we are talking about a ginormous iPhone that’s standing at an astonishing 6.74 feet. This huge iPhone 15 Pro “Maximum” is what would be called an innovation that’s pushing the boundary of technology.
Now it’s not just all about the size, as this phone is also fully functional and has most of the features of a regular smartphone. Yes, users can send texts, make calls, use mobile apps and even take pictures! Isn’t that astounding?
For a phone that big and designed to replicate an iPhone, you would expect it to come with a big screen, and yeah, it does. It features a 88 inches OLED screen crafted from a TV of that size. What this means is that the display is as crisp as can be. They also went through the process of crafting the button and Apple logo. This points to the fact that they paid attention to details and the craftsmanship.
A Guinness World Record in the Bag
This feat is more impressive than we actually allude to, and for this, Arun Maini (Mrwhosetheboss) and Matthew Perks (DIY Perks) earned a place on the Guinness World Record. Their incredible creation has now been officially recognized as the largest functional iPhone in the world. It leaves us wondering what Apple thinks about that.
While this might sound like a recent feat to the world, it actually wasn’t. It had actually been Maini’s dream to set a Guinness World Record since he was a kid. According to him, he had alway been a fan of the records and had spent time poring over the records. So we can say that this achievement is sort of a full circle moment for him, as he went from curious kid to record holding YouTuber.
The Bottom Line
Conclusively, it goes without saying that it pays to dream and work towards it, no matter how long it takes. Arun and Matthew have now made history by being the first to create a giant iPhone, earning them a Guinness World Record.
The fact that they could put together their idea and bring it to fruition is amazing and shows the possibilities of technology and innovation. So are you out there with a dream? Just take a step. That’s all it takes to push boundaries and be a trailblazer.
