New Season Of "The Crown" Might Stir Up Controversies As It Narrates The Horrific Tale Of Princess Diana's Death
In September 2020, Harry and Meghan reportedly signed a $100 million deal with the streaming giant Netflix, and they've been very successful, especially with their docuseries, Harry and Meghan.
However, the next season of "The Crown" might stir a lot of controversies as it is about the death of Prince Harry's late mother, Princess Diana. Aside from the emotional turmoil Prince Harry may have to deal with while working on the episode, the recreated version of the crash scenes is enough to trigger any royal family member as it brings to mind a replica of the traumatic incident that once rocked the royal affairs.
Although Netflix promised that “the exact moment of the crash impact will not be shown,” pictures of the recreated wreckage published by The Daily Mail were horrid. An insider on the show even commented that the producers, Netflix made a very detailed replica of the crash scenes that feel real, and he is worried it may upset the royals.
“I think it’s going to cause a lot of upset with the Royal Family. If it was any other family, I’m not sure they’d do it,” he said.
There's no doubt Netflix is navigating the extremes as it would get the show a lot of attention since Princess Diana's death was a true crime story, and the new season would be recreating it. It's the perfect story to sell, but we hope it wouldn't force the affected parties into reliving the horror.
The Netflix DocuSeries; Harry & Meghan
The Royal Couple secured a deal worth millions of dollars with Netflix. This means fans can expect a lot of content like documentaries, feature films, scripted shows, and children's programming from their partnership with the streaming network.
The Docuseries: Harry & Meghan, according to Netflix, is a show that "explores the clandestine days of their early courtship and the challenges that led to them feeling forced to step back from their full-time roles in the institution." Harry & Meghan is a six-part documentary series that hopes to reveal the couple's side of their high-profile love story many do not know about.
The couple explained that Netflix's "unprecedented reach" will help them "share contents that unlock action" as their focus will be on creating informing content that stirs hope. Trailers of the show released on Thursday indicates that the series is going to be an intriguing watch because it features a lot of never-before-seen intimate pictures from their wedding and pregnancy moments and snippets from the couple's comment in the video show that we may be in for a lot of secrets and surprises about the royal family.
In the Trailer, Prince Harry was seen saying, "No one sees what's happening behind closed doors. I had to do everything I could to protect my family."
Meghan also asks a thoughtful question that would stir your curiosity towards the end, "When the stakes are this high, doesn't it make more sense to hear our story from us?" she said.
The couple seems ready to reveal the in-depth truth, and Prince Harry's comment in the trailer wards off doubts.
"There's a hierarchy of the family, you know, there's leaking, but there's also planting of stories. It's a dirty game.
"The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution, this feeding frenzy. I was terrified. I didn't want history to repeat itself. No one knows the full truth. We know the full truth."
The docuseries set to be released for streaming by 15th December is indeed a show to anticipate. Netflix commented about it being more than a love story but a story about our world and how we treat each other right, and we can't wait to see the discrimination that goes on behind many closed doors.
Episodes 1, 2 & 3 will be released by December 8th, and viewers with a Netflix Uk subscription can stream it once it graces the screen.
